Valerie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far. I’ve always had a passion for hair. I have been branding hair all my life but took the leap and completed cosmetology school 10 years ago at paul mitchell in arlington. I worked in a few salons as an independent stylist following graduation for 6 years. In 2014 I opened beauty concept salon! In the beginning there would be days when no one knew my salon was here. Determined to be successful I would walk door to door passing out my business cards.

Today, I am blessed to have long-term clients that have been with me from the beginning. Though some have moved out of the area they still return for our services, which is a testament to our hard work and love for what we do! In addition to the salon, I have now I instruct braiding classes.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, the road has not always been smooth. Being a business owner is hard at times. This salon is my creation, my livelihood, and my passion so I have to work harder than most to maintain and ensure its success. So, One of the challenges we face in the beauty industry is staying current with the times and relevant. So, we have to continue learning techniques and best practices to ensure or clients are satisfied and continue to grow with us!

Beauty concept salon is african braiding salon. We specialize in box braids, senegalese twists, cornrows, faux locs, sew -ins, brazilian knots, natural hair care, and much more! I am most proud of the growth of my salon.

So, Vachale Hair has loyal customers, great reviews of our work, and an ever growing presence on social media. Moreover, What sets us apart from other salons is that we provide reliable and quality customer service. But, we pride ourselves on providing a comfortable, welcoming, relaxed atmosphere for our customers. Hard work, dependability, determination, and simply treating everyone with kindness and respect! What has been most important to my success is that I absolutely love what I do!
